1. Agreement to these terms
These terms govern your use of Bayon Pay — the merchant dashboard, API, WooCommerce plugin, and hosted checkout operated by the BayonWeb team ("Bayon Pay," "we," "us"). By creating a merchant account or using Bayon Pay, you agree to these terms. If you are using Bayon Pay on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
2. What Bayon Pay is
Bayon Pay is an integration layer that lets a merchant accept KHQR and Alipay+ payments on a website, WooCommerce store, or through a direct API integration, using a bank payment link the merchant already holds. Bayon Pay creates hosted checkout sessions, generates KHQR codes, and keeps order status synchronized with your connected bank through signed payment events.
KHQR is a national, interoperable QR payment standard maintained by the National Bank of Cambodia under the Bakong system. Bayon Pay is not the National Bank of Cambodia, Bakong, or any bank or wallet, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any of them. Bank, wallet, and payment scheme names and marks referenced or displayed on this site or in the product — including any bank or wallet shown as a supported payment method — belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify supported payment methods.
3. We never hold your money
Bayon Pay does not hold, custody, or have access to merchant funds at any point. Every payment settles directly between the paying customer and the merchant's own connected bank account, through that bank's own KHQR infrastructure. Bayon Pay only creates the checkout session and reads the resulting payment status — it is never in the settlement path and money is never routed through Bayon Pay. Your funds are handled entirely by your bank, exactly as if the QR code had been generated by the bank directly.
4. Your account and bank connection
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when creating a merchant account and connecting a bank payment link.
- Bayon Pay never asks for a bank login, bank Merchant ID, or bank API secret. If anything claiming to be Bayon Pay does ask for one of these, do not provide it and contact us immediately.
- You are responsible for keeping your Bayon Pay API keys and account password confidential. A generated API key is shown once; Bayon Pay stores only its one-way hash and cannot recover it for you.
- You must promptly disconnect or rotate a bank payment link or API key you believe has been compromised.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Bayon Pay for any illegal business or illegal activity, or to process payments you are not legally entitled to collect. This includes, without limitation, fraud, money laundering, financing of terrorism, sale of goods or services prohibited under Cambodian law, and any activity that violates the terms of your connected bank or the applicable payment scheme.
If Bayon Pay identifies suspicious activity on your account — including but not limited to unusual transaction patterns, reports from your connected bank, or activity inconsistent with your stated business — we may suspend or restrict your account without prior notice while we investigate. We will make reasonable efforts to inform you after the fact where we are able to.
6. Fees and billing
Bayon Pay plans and their transaction allowances are described on our pricing page. Only completed, successful paid transactions count toward a plan's allowance. Paid plan features activate once a relevant payment method — such as KHQR — has been confirmed working on your account. We may change pricing for future billing periods; we will give you reasonable notice before a change takes effect on your account.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep Bayon Pay available and reliable, but the service depends in part on the connected bank's own systems and the underlying KHQR infrastructure, which are outside our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for outages, delays, or failed transactions caused by your bank, a payment scheme, or other third-party systems.
8. Termination
You may close your merchant account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms, including the acceptable use section above, or where required by law or by a connected bank or payment scheme. On termination, your right to use Bayon Pay ends, but obligations that by their nature should survive — including confidentiality and any outstanding fees — continue to apply.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Bayon Pay is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bayon Pay disclaims warranties of any kind and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including losses caused by your connected bank, a payment scheme, or third-party integrations you configure.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of Bayon Pay after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
